Elder neglect and abuse is rampant in America today.

The elderly confined to long term care health facilities and those living in their own homes become the helpless victims of this social horror.

This deplorable crime, committed behind closed doors by nursing home employees and in some cases, family members is rarely reported and therefore difficult to prosecute.

For the past “one hundred years”, these blessed souls were the builders and protectors of America. The entire membership of The Forget-Me-Not Foundation has not and will not forget them.

Therefore the Volunteers of The Forget-Me-Not Foundation has become the “Watch Dog” of these national treasures.

Volunteers from all walks of life are making a difference by demanding that elders receive the respect they have earned and deserve.

Here is how the Forget-Me-Not Foundation is making a difference. Many churches and service organizations have the desire to help in the preservation of the elderly.  Unfortunately, their lack of resources and knowledge, prevents their involvement.

For the benefit of elders The Foundation solicits the aide of faith-based and service organizations whose membership become “volunteers” in this battle. The Foundation accomplishes this by the organizing and training of these assemblages who then make regular visits to long term care nursing home residents and elders living in their own homes.  Although the volunteers' main focus is to provide companionship, for the elders any signs of depression, loneliness, neglect or abuse are immediately reported to the family.

These volunteers bring the elders “motivated love”, and a “protective alliance” that cannot be shaken.
